Freshman Representatives

CALLING ALL FRESHMEN! Class 0f 2014!

RUKSA annually elects several freshmen representatives each year. Although the number varies each year, the goal of the program is the same: to connect with the incoming freshmen class, and enable them to become involved from their first year in college. We train and foster our freshmen representatives each year to become great leaders for the future. Many current staff members have been freshmen representatives in the past, including both the current President James Kim (Fresh Rep 06-07), Vice President Brian Kim (Fresh Rep 08-09) and General Director Abraham Kim (Fresh Rep 07-08). We highly encourage anyone who is interested to come and try out! (Also, you DO NOT have to be Korean!)

Freshman Representative Charity Show – Mr. KSA

Mr.KSA is a widely popular university-wide event which is planned from beginning to end by the freshmen representatives, under the guidance of their staff mentor. Although the incoming freshmen reps have complete authority over the format and content of the show, the past four classes of freshmen reps since 06-07 have decided to stick with the male-pageant charity show. It is a night filled with talent and laughter, and also a stage where future performers are born. The men strut their stuff on the runway in evening wear and swimsuits, show off their talents in music and dance, and even expose their deepest secrets during the Q&A section. Many contestants have become regular actors in various KSA productions, and in other student programs across the university. For the freshmen representatives, it is a rigorous, yet very fulfilling experience that prepares them to be great leaders.
